INTEGRATED HELP FACILITY AND TRAINING EXAMPLES
|
Paxton Charities Accounting comes with comprehensive help facilities and training examples. The package comes with a printed step-by-step starter guide and fully integrated on screen HELP. Included in the HELP are a number of items well worth looking through before you start to use the package. After a system overview there is an introduction to how to drive the package, ‘Driving Instructions’, which includes a dynamic demonstration. Most valuably perhaps in the ‘Tutorial’ section are the hands-on examples. These use the demonstration data, which comes with the package, so you can input them yourself. Many also have a dynamic example that you can watch to really familiarise yourself with the facilities. All the HELP facilities reflect the accounting methodology of the database you are running.
Also in the HELP is the quick reference guide that includes further active examples and the full manual that details where to find each facility on the menu, what different input fields are available and what actions can be carried out.
Setting up your own database is made considerably less daunting by a starter guide that is provided to you on paper as well as on screen. Facilities exist to explicitly help you create your own database with the default analysis accounts for your type of database, with those of the database you are in or without any so you use the special facilities to bulk enter your own. A further special facility exists to input your opening balances.
When running Paxton Charities Accounting, HELP is always easily available by clicking on the question mark in the top right of each screen, pressing F11 or right clicking on the menu button. There will also be a separate icon for the HELP on your desktop.
Purchasers of an annual support contract receive 24/7 access to our online support database with a week day office hours email and telephone support service if you cannot find the information you need online. Holders of a support contract will also receive free upgrades (the user will need to have internet access to download these) to the pertinent reports if the statutory reporting requirements change. For supported Church of England users there is also a downloadable utility to provide the data for the Parish Finance report.
